Our history
The Corricreche and Crimson Dawn Schools were founded on 7th May, 2001 as a crèche by Corrinne Birch Sackey with seven children and two teachers at Akosombo Community 1 (Mess).
The Basic School started with its pioneer Primary class (Class One) in September 2008 with eight pupils. The Junior High also started its pioneer Class (Form One) in September 2014 with seven students.
In 2005, due to the expansion from Creche to Kindergarten, the school moved to its current location with about 60 children and seven teachers.
The first batch of BECE students, seven in number graduated in June 2017. Two of our students topped the Asuogyaman District that year. They were named the “TRAILBLAZERS.” From then, Management and staff have continued to pursue our vision, mission and objectives with professionalism, sacrifice and hard work.

Our community
Our families come from nearby neighborhoods, creating a close-knit environment and strong parent partnerships. Whether we’re close to home or near the office, our center is ideal for busy working families and easy to get to – for pick-up and drop-off or to stop in for a visit.
We use fun, research-based, multi-sensory strategies to help children develop early learning skills, including Lively Letters, Open Court for phonics and literacy, Handwriting Without Tears, and Everyday Math. We use Responsive Classroom as the basis for our social and emotional learning curriculum throughout the school.
Health & Safety
Your child’s health and safety are our top priority. Our centers have strict guidelines for cleanliness and security and we’re proud to be recognized as a health-and-wellness model for child care centers by the Partnership for a Healthier America.
